Summer CAL Spotlight + A Special Preview


As many of you already know, the Little Green Feather 2025 Informal Summer CAL is in full swing—and today happens to be my favorite kind of day: Customer Appreciation Day! 🎉


I thought it’d be the perfect time to showcase a few standout creations from the CAL community. These pieces are so full of heart, color, and creativity—and we’ve also got a sneak peek of something very special at the end of this post.


So let’s dive right in!

✨ Belinda Reynolds’ Strawberries & Vines

First up is a charming strawberry-and-vine combo from Belinda Reynolds. She cleverly matched her vine color to the tops of her strawberries for a perfectly coordinated, totally adorable look. Belinda is using the sunglasses motif for section two and says she’s enjoying the color-carrying technique. Fingers crossed she shares more progress soon—we can’t wait to see it!

✨ Melanie Olson’s Nature-Inspired Start

Next, we’ve got a gorgeous version of section one from Melanie Olson. With a rich teal background and vibrant red berries, her moss-green vines absolutely pop—helped along by her flawless stitch definition. Melanie’s keeping to a nature theme and plans to add bees to her second section. I’m beyond excited to see how it comes together!

✨ Venus LaStar Carney’s Delicate Garden Vibe

Strawberries & Vines


Last but not least, Venus LaStar Carney gave us a beautifully subtle take on section one, using a soft, light green for her vines. It gives the piece a gentle, garden-fresh feeling—almost like new growth winding its way through a spring morning. I can’t wait to see what she dreams up for her next section.

👀 Sneak Peek Alert: Whatever The Weather

Now for something I’m so excited to share - on Friday, June 13, we’re releasing a brand-new pattern that’s incredibly close to my heart: Whatever The Weather.


It’s inspired by a nursery rhyme I loved as a child—one that became a kind of life motto for me. It’s all about standing by the ones you love, through the highs and lows. Whether you’re making it for a partner, a cherished friend, or even yourself, it’s a heartfelt reminder that they’re loved—and to keep going, no matter what.


A huge shoutout to my incredible tester team: Fran Tropinski, Estelle Burton, Nicole Wolf, and Cindy Daling—your finished versions are absolutely stunning. Each one shows how beautifully this design works as a stash-buster.
